Meyer’s farm must host the western most farmers market in the US. The farm grows potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and other hardy crops grown in specially tilled tundra soil. It’s great to have the opportunity to buy local produce. They have recently added hoop houses to grow strawberries, tomatoes and other treats.
Tom’s first project with the trail camera involved boating an hour north of Bethel. Here is a mom and her two calves. It was a long hard bushwack to get to this spot, but we could smell the moose as soon as we got near. It was like a litter box. We did not see any as we retrieved the photos. There were 4 other moose on the camera and we saw a moose boating up to the site and coming back.
Chris took me on the new hiking trail at Houghton Falls. What a treat to walk a nicely groomed trail through this beautiful spot.
