Flying by Rain

Operation Moose began on a day of scattered showers and high ceilings. The ceiling allowed us to make a Friday evening flight up to the Yukon River area that Tom will be Moose hunting. It also gave Tom a chance to gain some more hours in the 172. So we packed our dinner and headed north. We were able to fly around most of the rain. The it cleared off into a beautiful tundra evening.

One my summer highlights is Kayaking. I am always happy to paddle an old haunt in Wisconsin. I miss the Wednesday night paddling crew. The lake was rocking on the day Chris and I planned to paddle. We had a great lunch at Meyers beach and then headed toward the warm calm waters of Bark Bay.

I met up with the WOW crew in Bayfield on Wednesday night too.Thunderstorms motivated us to become women in water and hit the hot tub in Bayfield. We followed our salt water soak with a tasty dinner at Maggie’s.
