This winter Tom began to build a new mews for his expectant falconry bird. He was able to salvage lumber from some old cabinets. I don’t want to know what the other lumber cost, but I did scrounge some old doors from one of the pilots who was remolding his hangar.
All of our neighbors and coworkers drove by our house and tried to guess what Tom was building. Was it a smoke house for fish (the most likely out building in Bethel) ? Then starts the explanation of the art of falconry. I think Tom will be the first falconer Bethel has ever seen.
