Alaskan Sunset
Dramatic sunsets are common in western Alaska. Here is a shot off taken late in the afternoon. It is now light until 7pm.
Boreal Owl
The bird diversity on the tundra in the winter is low. During the Xmas bird count Tom saw 2 species. The infamous Raven and a Chickadee. Today’s excitement was a Boreal Owl at a bird feeder on the edge of town. It was comfortably perched on a spruce tree near a feeder with lots of chickadees. Yum!
