Nolan has enjoyed his Xmas present from Mikie, a hunt on the farm. We have been enjoying the company of good friends and family.

It’s a girl! Born at 8:17 PM on December 25. 7lbs 10 oz. 20 inches.
Unfortunately, dogs can’t read. Of course this is the first place Nolan chooses to pee when we get in from Bethel. I tried to look the other way.
I took this picture on the riverbank in Bethel at 2:00 in the afternoon.
After 3 days of rain last week we are happy to see colder temps and snow. The rain ruined the trails and made a skating rink out of the tundra. But today we continue to get a dusting of snow. Nolan is ready! He loves snow!
But even more exciting is Nolan’s upcoming trip to Wisconsin. He can’t wait to go grouse hunting.

Today we went out to take our Xmas pictures. It was really cold and windy. After all of the set up, I went home to discover that my settings were on the lowest setting and I didn’t take any high resolution pictures.
At least we had a warm pot of snow shoe hare stew in the crock pot. Tom put out a dozen snares and this was the first victim.

This is what the boys do while I am Xmas shopping. At least I am shopping online in my pjs.
