We are now officially surrounded by Forest Service land. The last piece of private land has been added to the Forest in our section. They are pretty good neighbors. A great buffer for our forest haven.

Tom and I were fortunate enough to ring in the New Year with friends and family in Wisconsin. Great walks in the woods and a weather just above freezing was a wonderful treat made even better with the addition of a couple of grand kids.

Our 2011 Christmas Project included making moose sausage. We ground 100 lbs and turned it into Italian, Russian and Polish sausage. Yum!!!! We are going to grind our way across the globe in flavors. The goal is to see the bottom of the freezer by September. Another moose hunt is planned.

Who is that masked skier? Its hard to tell when you are bundled up to avoid frostbite. It was good to see folks enjoying the afternoon despite the cold.
